The Warrior Christian

When people think of Christians, they often think of some pale guy in a suit telling you how you are a terrible person and are going to die [nothing is wrong with being pale, I get pale sometimes]. But generally, Christians are thought of as weak, but that is dead wrong. Christians have a long heritage of warriors and soldiers. Let’s look at an example from the bible,

And next to him among the three mighty men was Eleazar the son of Dodo, son of Ahohi. He was with David when they defied the Philistines who were gathered there for battle, and the men of Israel withdrew. He rose and struck down the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand clung to the sword. And the LORD brought about a great victory that day, and the men returned after him only to strip the slain.
(2 Samuel 23:9-10)

So, this guy was in a battle and Israel withdrew but this guy fought, he fought so hard that his hand clung to his sword. I mean I just can’t see this guy as being weak, like at all. Other examples are listed in the bible.
We also as modern-day Christians need not be weak; we are in a spiritual war. The bible says.

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
(Ephesians 6:12)

We as Christians are in a spiritual war. We are in a battle against the devil and his demons. Fortunately, we are not alone. God is with us and an angel army is at God’s command. We have a war to win, are you going to hide or are you going to be the Warrior Christian.
